Gibran Ali, Senior Research Associate

Gibran Ali is a senior research associate with the Division of Data & Analytics. His areas of emphasis are algorithm design and development, data mining, and data analysis. He also has significant experience in drivetrain simulation, performance evaluation, energy harvesting, and mechatronics. He has taught undergraduate courses in mechatronics, control systems, and mechanical vibrations. Prior to working at Virginia Tech, he worked as a R&D engineer at the vehicle performance and simulation center of Mahindra Automobiles. Gibran earned his M.S. from Clemson University in mechanical engineering and B.S. from National Institute of Technology Srinagar in the same field. He is also working on his Ph.D. at the Virginia Tech Mechanical Engineering Department.
