Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation saves time through providing more efficient solutions

VTTI’s The Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation (GCAPS) has helped sponsors save time by providing them with the modeling, simulation tools, and data that allow for greater efficiency. This saves development time while still enabling sponsors to use the tire system and algorithms to get to answers faster. Oftentimes, these answers lead to safer vehicles and modes of transportation.

For example, GCAPS led a project for the City of Vancouver that involved helping to select the tires to use for their public transit system. In leading the way with a benchmarking activity and data analysis, GCAPS not only saved the city time but enabled them to fit their buses with the safest and most durable tires.
