Protecting the environment is a founding mission of the Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation

Protecting the environment is in the DNA for the Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation (GCAPS). One of the reasons the company was founded in 2012 was to assist General Motors with improving vehicle simulations through better tire understanding which would lead to a better-balanced vehicle for fuel economy.

GCAPS has performed extensive work on vehicle operations in an autonomous world. Their current collaboration with VTTI is analyzing automated driving systems in dynamic scenarios. Contributions made by GCAPS will help develop machine learning algorithms, industry and national guidelines, and educational standards in efforts to become more energy-efficient.
