Paul Hayes, Research Associate

Center for Truck and Bus Safety: Human Factors and Advanced System Testing

Paul Hayes is a Research Associate in the Center for Truck and Bus Safety. Paul is a recent graduate from the Industrial and Systems Engineering program at Virginia Tech, with a background in human factors and ergonomics. Mr. Hayes also has extensive experience in the data reduction labs at VTTI, reducing well over 1000 hours of video and parametric data. His work in the data laboratories contributed significantly to the On Board Monitoring System (OBMS) studies, as well as other heavy vehicle and light vehicle studies. Mr. Hayes currently works on a variety of projects, assisting research in mirror visibility performance, forward collision warning systems, truck maintenance and safety programs, and other projects.
