Laura Hamm, Manager of Technical Writing & Editing

Laura Hamm is the manager of VTTI’s Technical Writing and Editing group at VTTI, where she works with the Institute’s researchers and staff to develop scientifically sound and compelling research proposals. Before joining VTTI in 2015, Dr. Hamm worked as a freelance scientific writer, editor, and data visualization specialist to help scientists from a variety of fields interpret and effectively communicate their research. Previously, Dr. Hamm worked in academic and government laboratories as a researcher, where she published numerous journal articles and prepared various successful grant proposals to agencies including the Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation. Dr. Hamm’s breadth of experience allows her to express complex information in a clear and concise form that is appropriate for the intended audience.
