Charlotte Lowdermilk, Project Associate
Center for Infrastructure-Based Safety Systems: Lighting Infrastructure TechnologyCharlotte Lowdermilk is the research coordinator for the Center for Infrastructure Based Safety Systems (CIBSS) at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI).
Lowdermilk is responsible for assisting in the management of several projects and subcontracts. She supervises, coordinates, and trains junior experimental wage employees while also interfacing and scheduling human participants for Smart Road experiments. Lowdermilk began her career with Virginia Tech in 2002.
She has over eight years of experience working in a complex educational setting, and an extensive background in providing direct research and technical support to front-line fundraisers and senior administrators. Lowdermilk received her B.A. in english with a minor in psychology from Virginia Tech in 2000.
