Garages

VTTI has two garage bays in the main building and four additional garage bays in the accompanying warehouse. All garages can be isolated for confidential research, contractor-dedicated facilities, or separate tool and work rooms.

Vehicle Fleet

VTTI Research FleetVTTI's vehicle fleet includes 14 uniquely-instrumented vehicles. The Institute provides its research groups with a variety of vehicles that are used for intelligent vehicle research. The vehicles are capable of recording a variety of electronic and video data in real-time from a suite of sensors and cameras that have been inconspicuously mounted.

VTTI is also able to acquire various vehicles for conducting specific research projects. For example, VTTI acquired a Class C school bus for its safety study involving a field evaluation of alternative systems for reducing illegal passing of school buses.
